About Attorney Thomas C. Moore

Thomas C. Moore of Moore, Lewis, & Russwurm, P.C. is a native of Moore County, TX, having grown up in Sunray. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from West Texas State University in 1967. He received a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from South Texas College of Law in 1967. 


He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 until 1970. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his performance as a battery commander. 


He began his legal career in Dumas, TX, in 1972. 


He has served as president of the 69th Judicial District Bar Association; chairman of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Commerce; chairman of the Moore County Democratic Party; chairman of the Board of the Moore County Hospital District and has served on numerous other boards and committees. He is a member of the Dumas Noon Lions Club and is active in the First Christian Church of Amarillo.
